Digital vs. Analog
Digital

Digital devices use base two to run their computing power. The reason is because it is easy, with a relay to store electricity. This makes it so that the computer store incredibly large amounts of data with these relays. If the computers couldn't store this electricity our modern world of electronics would be worthless. But, the main point is that digital data is either a 1 or a 0. NOTHING that is "digital" is anything but a 1 or a 0.
Analog
To put analog into simple terms it is anything that varies. Or basically, anything that is not digital. Some examples are the dimmer light switch, a record or a Geiger counter meter. These three examples all vary. In the example of the light switch it can vary from very little light (very dim) to extremely bright (very bright).

First, Copy the Binary code over there ----------------->>>>>>>>>
/\ Then, click on the button up there| Finally, go to the box on the right and paste the binary. Hit the 'to text' button. You will then have the "secret" message. |

Integrated Circut

An integrated circuit is a small chip of specially treated silicon containing many circuit pars. Integrated circuits carry out instructions, or programs by controlling the electricity flow. Integrated circuits led to the frontier of what is now the digital world. All computers to function, must have integrated circuits to function. Many strange objects like your chairs, now have computers and integrated circuits in them. The company Little Bits is making small computers (figure A) to be able to include computers and the internet into many seemingly offline objects (figure B).

Integrated Circuits used in Arduino and Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi
Raspberry Pi is a small computer. They came out with a new release just barely for a $5 computer. One of the previous models is $40. The whole reason that they can make this and make a profit is their clever use of integrated circuits to make it function.

Arduino
Arduino is not "functionally defined as a computer" but is a micro-controller. This means it can be programmed to control the turn of motors, whether lights are on or off, or just about anything you program it to do. At the core is the ATmega328P, or in other words that long black stick near the middle. It is an integrated circuit designed to control what you program it to do.

How do signals transmit information?
A signal is anything that can be used to send information using another signal, as a carrier. Some signals include a telegram, email, phone call, mail, smoke signals, fiber optic, social media(internet), radio communications, etc. Signals have rapidly changed our lives, some of which spread news of medicine, saving millions of lives.
